Jared Miles is a photographer drawn to the relationship between people and place. His work observes gesture, light, architecture and the quiet rhythms of everyday life, with a particular interest in Italy and the Mediterranean.

He began photographing with film and returned to the camera after a career spent working inside highly considered private environments. That experience sharpened his attention to setting, human behavior and the details that quietly shape how a place feels.

Rather than separating people from their surroundings, Jared composes the environment and waits for the human moment within it. His photographs are understated, observational and grounded in daily life.

He is currently extending this approach into environmental portraiture and short-form motion, working with models and creative collaborators in New York, Los Angeles and Europe.
